2007 Petite Sirah $50.00/ $600
15.9%alc, 180 cases produced
Petite Sirah is not easy to produce as a single varietal. It's robust and tannic nature make it better as a blending grape, used to darken up blends. The winemakers in Paso Robles are figuring out how to finesse the grape and some of the wines produced in the last few years have been outstanding including our 2007 vintage, which is an absolute monster. The color is reminiscent of squid ink. Ripe black currant (cassis), blueberries, violets and toasty oak are all part of this dense wine's aroma. The palate is layered with black currant, licorice, sweet espresso which is all wrapped up with a healthy dose of Petite Sirah's trademark tannins. The finish of this voluptuous wine goes on and on...ending with a kiss of vanilla and spice. This wine will age for well over a decade.

2005 Petite Sirah $120/ $1440
90 Points, Robert Parker Issue#172
This could possibly be the biggest Petite Sirah ever made! It looks like a mixture of squid ink and motor oil. No food necessary for this wine because it drinks like liquid meat. Dark brooding flavors of boysenberry and black cherry, with undertones of coffee, leather, tobacco, and a cigar box, cedar finish. This wine will age for 15 years plus and still pack a monterous punch. Get out your crest whitestrips for this blue tooth special!

2001 Petite Sirah, Paso Robles $45/ $540
The grapes for this wine came from some of the oldest dry farmed vines in Paso Robles. These vines yielded only a meager ton/ acre, resulting in ultra concentrated flavors that reflect a true California Petite Sirah. Rich blueberry and super fruity cherry flavors, chewy oak and spice are well balanced with firm tannins with an ultra smooth finish. If you're a Petite Sirah fan, this wine is a must have.
