If you have not experienced the 2003 Cabernet Franc, you are in for a real treat. I dug this one out of the library so our wine club members could get the last of this special vintage. Rarely, does Cabernet Franc come out good enough to bottle on its own, but the 2003 was an exceptional year for high sugars and a good acid balance. Usually a Bordeaux blending grape used to add ripe fruit characteristics to the blend, the 2003 Cab Franc came out more like a big style Cabernet Sauvignon displaying big extracted berry flavors with some cedar, menthol, and a eucalyptus finish. There are only 4 more cases left for sale so it is on a first come first serve basis and there is a two bottle maximum purchase per wine club member. Get it while it lasts!
